Graduation!

< Back to News

After 9 months of very late nights, fast-food, and massive amounts of caffeine, I can now proudly say that I am a graduate of the Master of Music Screen Scoring program at USC and my life is forever changed. The year was filled with amazing experiences, but some of the highlights include conducting my score for a 64-piece orchestra at Warner Bros Eastwood Scoring Stage, being mentored by 14-time Academy Award nominated composer Thomas Newman (one of my favorites), and receiving personal mixing tips from Academy Award nominated score mixer, Dennis Sands. My instructors challenged me daily (I’m looking at you, Pete Anthony and Patrick Kirst), causing me to grow beyond what I could have imagined and placing me on a trajectory for future, lifelong learning. On top of it all, my classmates have become very dear friends of mine that I plan to work with for years to come. I will forever cherish my time at USC and now, more than ever, appreciate those two words that continue to encourage me… FIGHT ON!

Victory!

I am clearly delighted after receiving my diploma.

A happy mama…

…and very excited friends!
