Rambo: Last Blood

< Back to News

When it was announced that Brian Tyler would be composing the score for “Rambo: Last Blood” starring Sylvester Stallone, I was thrilled. It would be the final installment of one of the most iconic film franchises of all-time and as part of Brian’s team, I was going to get the chance to arrange music for it.  Fast-forward to completing the score and the excitement remains. I’m particularly taken with Brian’s Rambo theme; the heartfelt piece emotes feelings of loss and yearning for justice and is comprised of a full symphony orchestra featuring lush strings. My arrangement of this theme included piano as well as Mexican flute, due to the story being primarily set in Mexico. Brian also made sure to incorporate Jerry Goldsmith’s original beloved Rambo music into his own score, which features a regal solo trumpet and sweeping melodic strings. The music does a wonderful job supporting this poignant story of love, sacrifice, and in true John Rambo form, justice; devotees of the franchise will not be disappointed.
